Currently

I'm a Sys Admin for Dartmouth Engineering, living and working in New Hampshire. The Engineering school is a really fun place to work — there are robots completing obstacle courses outside my office, all sorts of 3D printers and laser cutters etc. to play with (with the appropraite training!), and a lot of creative, smart people to collaborate with.

I do Linux administration, and I did broader system support before that (also at Dartmouth Engineering) but I specialize in web app development. Recently I've been building Node apps to fill some operational gaps and update/automate workflows — it sounds dry but it's been great working with other staff members to make their lives easier, and their data cleaner! Examples include a tool for HR to streamline employee arrival/departure notifications, a dashboard and improved UI for faculty to view their course reviews (got to work with a design professor for that one so it's very pretty), and an app for the Registrar, faculty and students to track PhD Oral Qualification exams.

Outside of work I've been known to dabble in community theater, play a little guitar and bass, and come back into the office to use the 3D printer. Feel free to reach out if you need volunteers for a Scratch or other coding gathering in the Upper Valley!
